SPIED: Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS already in showrooms?

We have an interesting piece of news for ‘Pulsarholics’ out there! Now the great burden is about to be lifted-off your shoulders, as the Pulsar 200 SS has reached dealerships but don’t get too excited, because the bike is on display in showrooms at Turkey, not India.

The Pulsar 200 SS is a replica of the Pulsar 400 SS, which was unveiled globally in February-2014 at 2014 Indian Auto Expo. Although the body panels are taken from the bigger Pulsar 400 SS, underneath the skin is the same engine and other components borrowed from its naked sibling, the Pulsar 200NS. But the SS gets fuel injection instead of carburetor which produces 24 BHP of power and 20 NM of torque.

Official launch date and pricing hasn’t been released, but the Pulsar 200 SS is expected to retail for about Rs. 1.25 lakh, while the higher-spec with ABS will go for about Rs. 1.35 lakh (both on-road price). The company has already started production of the Pulsar 200 SS sometime back, alongside the new Platina whose launch is also around the corner.
