Earlier we have brought you the firstever spy pictures off the next-generation Hyundai i10 codenamed-Hyundai BA (not BharathAutos hehehe!) spotted on Indian roads. Now another fresh set of spy pictures of the same has hit the web, thanks to the Motor Vikatan reader Jayavel who has managed to snap the all-new i10 in the streets of Chennai.

From the images, the redesigned headlamps look more pronounced than ever, even from the camouflage.  One might as well expect a new grille endowing a new look to the fascia of the car under the cover bearing the new family look. It is also expected to get roomier interiors with the Fluidic design treatment being carried onto the dashboard of the car, like other Hyundai car models based on the Fluidic design.

The current i10 with the Fluidic design was a half baked job at best as the only real change in the car was the front fascia, which got a hexagonal grille and a reshaped bumper. Besides these, everything remained unchanged including the interiors. Hence, we can expect the upcoming next-generation Hyundai i10 model to be radically different from the current car, both on the exterior and the interiors.

However, it has come to light that under the hood department may see some major changes as Hyundai might be in the process of bringing some more fuel efficiency to the car. A brand new 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder Kappa petrol engine is expected to be plonked into the next generation i10. In addition to this, Hyundai is most likely to bring the 1.1-litre 3 cylinder CRDI diesel engine that’s found in the European i20. It will then be selling even better than Chevrolet Beat Diesel or any other diesel car in the segment.
