The 2011 Nissan Sunny Sedan will be rebadged and launched in India sometime between August and October 2011. The car carries minimal camouflage that almost hints of a launch shortly as cars that dump camouflage usually get launched pretty quickly. While we can’t make out much from the video shot by the folks at the AutomotiveIndia forum, the fact remains that the car has already been unveiled in China earlier this year and not much remains to be seen from the exterior.
Meanwhile, the Nissan Sunny will be launched in India with a 1.5 Liter, 100+ Bhp, HR15DE petrol engine and perhaps Nissan India would plonk in a diesel Renault 1.5 DCi. 85 Bhp common rail engine to help push sales. While there is a CVT tranny on offer for the Chinese market, we aren’t very sure if  Nissan would offer it for India too. Most probably we’ll get a five speed manual tranny as Nissan would want to keep costs low.
