Coming back to the Himalayan, it is positioned between the Classic 350 and the Classic 500 in Royal Enfield’s line-up. The Himalayan is powered by a 411cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine mated to a 5-speed gearbox. This unit produces 24.5bhp at 6500rpm and peak torque of 32Nm at 4000-4500rpm. The engine is fuelled by a carburettor that is equipped with a throttle position sensor. A fuel-injected variant may be introduced at a later stage.
