Renault India silently launched the updated Pulse for the 2014 model year – The update includes a revised dashboard which has been directly borrowed from the refreshed Nissan Micra, which was launched last-year. To point out this sort of a component sharing between two international brands is only possible due to the global technical tie-up between Renault and Nissan that allows them to do so.

Apart from the interior upgrade, the updated Pulse also gets a new colour option ‘Cosmo Blue’, which has been earlier seen in Renault Duster Anniversary Edition launched in last-year. The enhanced interiors provide a piano black finish and silver surrounds, a 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth, USB and Aux-in connectivity and instrumentation for the climate control. The circular AC vents have been replaced by rectangular units.

Now with these upgrades the interiors of both hatchbacks Renault Pulse and Nissan Micra stand in same position. Renault has not made any changes to the exterior or the mechanicals of the Pulse. The Pulse is available with either the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine or the 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel. Both engines come paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Renault has not revealed any changes in the price for these 2014 Renault Pulse, but it is speculated that company might slightly hike the prices.
