Japanese car maker, Nissan India recently added an entry-spec diesel XE trim for the 2013 Micra facelift, with a price tag of Rs 5.57 lakhs (ex showroom Delhi), and is the 12th Micra variant on-sale in India. The XE trim gets a chrome plated radiator grille, tilt adjustable steering, a driver’s side airbag, power steering and manual air-con controls.
Under the hood, the diesel engine remains the same and is powered by a 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine offering 64 PS power and 160 Nm torque. Engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Fuel economy is at 23.08 and is certified by ARAI. New Micra XE is being offered in a choice of six colours which include Olive green, Turquoise blue, Blade silver, Storm white, Onyx black and Brick red.
Like other variants, the Micra XE too comes with a standard warranty of 2 years/50,000km
Speaking at the launch, Kenichiro Yomura, president of Nissan India Operations and MD and CEO, Nissan Motor India said –
“The launch of the new Micra range in July received an overwhelming response from our customers. I am confident that the New Micra diesel variant is a good value proposition and a desirable option for the Indian customers. We are keen to replicate the success of the existing variants with the diesel-powered XE variant of the New Micra.”
