Next-Gen Bajaj Pulsar 150 to debut in India next-month

The Pulsar RS200 wasn’t the only new motorcycle from Pulsar brand to be launched in 2015. There are three more unannounced models yet to be launched in India under Pulsar moniker this-year – the Pulsar 200AS, next-gen Pulsar 150NS and Pulsar 150AS.

As per MotorOctane, Bajaj Auto is all-set to launch the next-gen Bajaj Pulsar 150 in India next-month, however, the folks have no idea which Pulsar 150 variant is due for a launch NS or AS variant. Furthermore, they reveal the next launch will be the Pulsar 200AS. Having said the Pulsar 200AS will be followed by the launch of next-gen Bajaj Pulsar 150, we assume it to be the Pulsar 150NS.

Although we aren’t sure or confirmed on which Pulsar 150 variant is slated for a launch next-month. We believe it’s a Pulsar 150NS because it has been on-test since a long time and it makes little sense for the manufacturer to launch the bigger Pulsar 200AS followed by the launch of smaller Pulsar 150AS, thus, the new Pulsar 150NS designed similar to the 200NS will be launched next-month.

As said above, the new Pulsar 150NS would share some features with 200 NS such as headlamp design, mono suspension, under belly exhaust, speedometer console design, fuel tank, new alloy wheels, grab rails, tail lamp cluster and split seats. Additionally, the Pulsar 150NS would get a kick-starter which is not found on the 200NS. The rear tyre hugger and disc brake will be omitted on the Pulsar 150NS.

Powering the Pulsar 150NS will be a 149.5cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-valve, triple-spark engine fed by a carburetor churns-out 16.7 BHP of power @ 9,000 RPM and 13 Nm of torque @ 7,500 RPM mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The 16.7 BHP of power is a best-in-class figure by premium 150cc naked motorcycles, but the 13 Nm of torque is less compared to the Yamaha FZ V2.0 and the Suzuki Gixxer.
