Exactly three years after the Audi Q3’s arrival in India, the facelift version marks the launch today. The Audi’s entry-level luxury SUV is a direct rival to the Mercedes GLA and BMW X1 in the segment.
Now, if any of you were put-off before by the looks, this one should entice better, with new front and rear treatments that are easier on the eye. Featuring an all-new front grille with horizontal slats, a new front bumper with restyled air vents, optional LED headlights, redesigned tail-lights, dynamic turn signal indicators, redesigned DRLs and new design 17-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, you’ll find steering-mounted paddle shifters which will be standard across the entire automatic range. It also comes equipped with the MMI® Navigation System, parking system plus with a rear view camera, Audi sound system and the infotainment system includes the Audi music interface, a 20 GB jukebox, two SDHC slots, Bluetooth, connectivity and streaming. The interiors get a new black/beige theme and there’s an option of an all-black theme as well.
Mechanically, the 2015 Q3 facelift is powered by the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder TDI diesel engine from the outgoing model. It churns-out 177bhp and 380Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed S-tronic gearbox with Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system. The ARAI-rated fuel efficiency is 15.73 kmpl and reaches a top speed of 212 kmph.
Audi will also be offering three new paint shades – Hainan Blue metallic, Cuvée Silver metallic and Utopia Blue metallic.
