Mercedes Benz launches GL ‘Grand Edition’ SUV

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the facelifted version of its full-size GL-Class SUV, known as the GL-Grand Edition. The new GL features 20-inch alloy wheels, dark-tinted head lamps, redesigned front bumper with integrated daytime running LED lights, metallic paint finishes, heat-insulating and infrared-reflecting laminated glass all round, aluminium-look running boards with rubber studs and divided exhaust tailpipe trim. Interior enhancements for the Grand Edition include black / porcelain and black / maroon leather upholstery, velour floor mats and a ‘Grand Edition’ badge on the centre console.

Standard on all GL-class models are features like the 4MATIC all-wheel drive, AIRMATIC air suspension, Direct-Steer system and the Adaptive Damping System. It also gets PARKTRONIC and COMAND APS system with a reversing camera. Additional features include off-road ABS, Downhill Speed Regulation (DSR) and Hill-Start Assist.

The Mercedes GL ‘Grand Edition’ retains its 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine pumping 227PS of power and 510Nm of torque mated to a 7G-Tronic transmission. Two variants of the Grand Edition are being made available – Executive and Luxury. The Executive version costs Rs 60.99lakh and the Luxury Rs 65.50lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
