Maruti Suzuki Swift is one of the best-selling cars in the country and it will get a 1.0 liter turbocharged BoosterJet motor in its next generation guise.

This is the same motor that will be making its introduction on the Suzuki iK-2 concept, codenamed Maruti YRA as on date, in Europe. This 1.0 liter motor will be advancing onto other smaller cars from Suzuki in Europe and Japan.

The new BoosterJet 1.0 liter turbo motor will make use of direct injection technology. Components of this motor are low general weight, lower deplacement, high fuel productivity and high power figures, claims Suzuki. No subtle elements of force and torque have been uncovered as on date. This is quite close to what Ford offers with the EcoBoost engines.

YRA and Swift, are expected for India launch in the near future. The YRA is expected not long from now and Swift by 2017. Be that as it may, it is not sure whether India will get the 1.0l BoosterJet motor or not. Thinking of it as is a progressive motor, odds are high for it to be propelled in India, yet on the other hand, all relies on upon the amount of localization Maruti Suzuki can accomplish on the new motor.

In the event that this motor does land in India, it will be seen on an extensive variety of new era autos from Maruti, including the XA Alpha.
