Maruti Suzuki launches Celebration Edition SX4 to mark 1 crore car sales

India’s leading car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki India Limited has now 1 crore (10 million) cars plying on the roads in India. As per the reports about Maruti cars in India, the cumulative domestic sales have reached the 10 million mark. In order to celebrate the event, Maruti has launched the celebration edition of its premium Tata Manza rival sedan Maruti SX4. The celebration edition of the Maruti SX4 thus launched on the occasion has decalcomania in toto with mesmerizing graphics and features. The white SX4 thus launched also sports new seat fabric, chrome AC louvers, chrome inside door handles, cubic printing on arm rest, cerebration floor mats and pillow. This will be available in limited numbers. The ten millionth Maruti car which happened to be a Red colored Maruti Swift VXi was released from the Manesar plant to Coimbatore.

One such model which has not contributed much to the 1 crore number is the Maruti Suzuki SX4. The company has now launched a celebration edition of the SX4 to mark 1 crore sales. This celebration edition is available in white colour only and carries body graphics and decal. The SX4 Celebration Edition also features new seat fabric, chrome AC louvers, chrome inside door handles, cubic printing on arm rest, cerebration floor mats and pillow. This will be available in limited numbers.

Maruti M800  26.36 lakh units
Maruti Alto + K10  19.08 lakh units
Maruti Omni  14.37 lakh units
Maruti Wagon R  11.14 lakh units
Maruti Swift  6.85 lakh units

 

The Indian Car market leader car company Maruti India has rolled out some of the best selling cars in India including the iconic Maruti 800 and the recent best seller Maruti Alto and Maruti Omni. The Maruti cars journey began in 1983 and since then Maruti has not looked back and today it has became India’s only car maker to have sold 10 million cars. Notably, where Maruti took 23 years to attain the 5 million cars mark in 2006, it took only six years to add another five million to its domestic sales. The unprecedented sales is a direct result of some of the best cars that the Indian car maker has pitched in the country including the best selling Maruti Alto, Maruti Swift hatchbacks and Maruti Swift Dzire that has also arrived recently in its under four meter avatar Maruti Swift Dzire CS.

If one is write the success story of Maruti cars in India, four cars Maruti 800, Maruti Alto, Maruti Omni small MPV and Maruti Alto K10 will be the ones that can be crowned to have pushed the sales in the country. Maruti Wagon R and new Maruti Swift have also pushed sales significantly. Notably, Maruti has done better in the last six years despite increasing competition and arrival of more national and international brand cars in India.

In the last 29 years, Maruti has sold over 26.36 lakh units of Maruti 800, 19.08 lakh units of Maruti Alto + K10, 14.37 lakh units of Maruti Omni, 11.14 lakh units of Maruti Wagon R and 6.85 lakh units of Maruti Swift that has recently got a facelift as well.
