Maruti Alto 800 Onam Edition – limited to Kerala only

Maruti Alto 800 ‘Onam’ special edition was launched yesterday in Kerala on the first day of the Malayalam month ‘Chingam’. Surprisingly, the company yesterday delivered over 3,000 cars and out of these, 1000 units were of the Alto.

The Alto 800 Onam Edition is another step taken by the India’s largest carmaker to attract buyers and further enhance its sales during this festive season, which offers 15 additional features than the regular variant. All these features will be offered at a premium of Rs. 17,350/-, about 26% cheaper than the cost of the original package, resulting in savings to the tune of Rs 4,500.

The additional features special Alto 800 Onam Edition include with a special package a Onam graphics and decal, music system with speakers, reverse parking sensors, dual-tone designer seat covers, embroidered cushions, power car charger, redesigned door panels, multi-colour steering cover, designer mat, mud flaps, door sill guard, ambience light, door visor, car perfume and ‘Race Boat Design’ tissue box.

Refresher: Maruti Alto 800 comes powered by a 796cc 3 cylinder engine which generates a maximum power output of 47.5 bhp at 6000 rpm with a torque output of 69 Nm coming at 3500 rpm. This engine is mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The base model of Alto 800 is available for Rs 2.44 lakhs and top model of CNG Alto 800 is price at Rs 3.56 lakhs (both prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
