Mahindra Scorpio SLE 4X4 variant launched at Rs. 10.72

Mahindra Scorpio SLE 4X4

Country’s largest utility vehicle maker, Mahindra has silently added another variant to the Scorpio 4×4 line-up – the 4×4 SLE variant priced at Rs. 10.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Bangalore). This new variant is called the SLE 4X4 which actually has been introduced to bridge the gap between the LX, VLX and VLX AT 4×4 models. This means good news for many who want a 4×4 Scorpio but did not want the bare-bones LX 4×4.

The Mahindra Scorpio SLE variant of the Scorpio adds a bit of safety and more equipment to the Scorpio, over the bare-bones LX 4×4 (priced at Rs. 9.66 lakh), and is a good buy for those who want a functional 4×4 with some degree of kit without the added features that the top-end VLX 4×4 offers (priced at Rs. 11.81 lakh).

The Scorpio SLE 4×4 adds features such as ABS, Voice Assist System, Electrically Operated ORVMs, front fog lamps, coloured cladding, rear wash and wipe and demister, follow me home headlamps, Air dams & mud flaps, middle row sliding seats, centre arm rest on 2nd row seat and theatre style illumination with illuminated keyrings. It also gets a voice-messaging system that warns the driver verbally about open doors, engaged handbrake or any other issues with the vehicle.

The engine specifications remain bog similar to the other variants of the car and it gets the same 2.2 litre, 4-cylinder mHawk diesel motor which gives out a nice and steady 120 bhp. The 4X4 gets a low range Borg Warner transfer box which offers a better lower end for taking care of your off-roading needs and the car can be slotted in the All-Wheel-Drive mode with a shift on the fly switch.
