LML Freedom manufactured by Lohia Machinery Limited (LML) had not obtained decent sales in the Indian market. As a result, LML had stopped manufacturing this 110cc bike a few years back. The main revenue for LML is from the exports and in order to obtain the required sales, LML had introduced the modified LML Vespa which too did not show any improvement for LML in the Indian market.
Apart from this, LML Freedom 110cc recently made a comeback in New Delhi with slight cosmetic changes as well as added on features. This launch made by LML was not throughout India. Initially the new Freedom 110cc would reach the dealers in New Delhi after which it would be available in Gujarat, Punjab and Maharashtra. LML is planning to launch 2 new scooters LML NV and LML Star Automatic in a couple of weeks, after which LML also has further plans of entering into 125cc and 150cc segment in India, the 100cc LML CRD is also speculated to re-launch.
Coming to the technical specifications, the new Freedom 110 is powered with the same 110cc engine that powered the traditional LML Freedom and provides a maximum power of 7550 RPM at a maximum torque of 8.5 Bhp, mated to 4-speed maunal gearbox. The new Freedom 110 meets new emission norms and expected to return a mileage of 65 kmpl, when driven safely at an average speed.
The 2013 Freedom also feature Alloy wheels, side stand with a gear lock, electric start, revised seat, power/economy indicator lights, black powder coated front forks and silencer covered with a chrome guard. The saddle has also better padding to increase the comfort level for both rider and pillion.The new Freedom 110 is available in two variants DX and LX at a price of Rs. 49,410 and Rs. 49,950 (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. It would be available in color options of Blue, Black, Beige, Silver and Red.
