Kawasaki Ninja 150 RR – will it follow, its rivals footsteps in India!

Kawasaki Ninja 150 RR

According to the rumors which suggest, the Japanese bike maker Kawasaki may launch Ninja 150RR in India. It is powered by a 148cc 2-stroke engine. This bike had the capacity to produce 30 PS of power, and this bike weighs around 125 kilos. But the launch of the Kawasaki Ninja 150 RR in India looks grim as 2-stroke vehicles production is banned in India, and there are no indications or efforts from Kawasaki, to replace the 2-stroke engine in Kawasaki Ninja 150 RR with a 4-stroke engine.

Kawasaki is selling the 150 RR in neighbouring countries with same engine capacity. Due to this reason Bajaj Auto has shown no interest in bringing more Kawasaki motorcycles on Indian roads. But according to some experts, if Kawasaki makes some modifications to the engine of Kawasaki Ninja 150 RR, by replacing the 2-stroke engine with a 4-stroke engine then this bike could fare well in the India Auto market. Because Kawasaki Ninja 150 RR has the capacity to produce 29 BHP in spite have only 150 cc engine.

If Kawasaki Ninja 150 RR follows same principle, what other Japanese bike manufacturers followed like Yamaha and Honda. Yamaha have designed its Yamaha R15 V to the Indian market keeping most of the similar to Yamaha R1 except the engine. Following the footsteps of Yamaha, Honda also made modifications only to the engine if Honda CBR 150R which is a smaller version of Honda VFR 1200F. According to us, Kawasaki will certainly not stay behind and offers the Kawasaki Ninja 150RR, which is based on a similar formula as its rivals.
