Hyundai i20 Active at 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show

Hyundai launched its i20 Active Cross Over in March this year. After its immense success in India Hyundai has showcased the i20 Acive Cross Over at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. This clearly states Hyundai`s intent to launch the car in the European market and will compete with the Dacia Sandero Stepway which is a crossover version of Sandero hatch.

It is expected that the i20 active Crossover will cost about £1,000 higher than the standard i20. The i20 Active will be offered with three engine options a 99bhp 1.4-litre petrol and an 89bhp 1.4 diesel. and the 3-cylinder 1.0-litre engine in both the 99bhp and 118bhp power options. The same engine will also be driving the regular i20 from 2016.

Along with the i20 Active Hyundai has also launched the new Santa Fe, the Vision G concept and the N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo concept. The N represents the companies new performance engineering division that is currently headed up by the former vice president of engineering at BMW M Division, Albert Biermann. The first N series road ready car is believed to be based on i30 hatch and be rolled out by 2017.
