The first batch of Brio facelift has also been exported to South Africa, where only this-week the India-made Brio facelift and the Amaze facelift (Brio sedan facelift) was launched. The MADE-IN-INDIA Brio facelift is similar to the Indonesian model. It gets a larger front grille with a chrome underlining strip and bumper has been redesigned with a new fog lamp cluster.

At the rear, the Brio facelift gets a spoiler and an integrated wash & wipe function for the top-of-the-line trim. New alloy wheels could also be on offer. Rest of the exterior looks the same. Inside, it gets a fresh dashboard in the style of the 2016 Amaze sporting an all-black theme, it adds automatic climate control, a Bluetooth-enabled music system and a larger instrument cluster.

The facelifted Brio should retain the same powertrain choice as before – a 1.2-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder petrol engine capable of 88 PS and 109 Nm of torque. This unit comes with an 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, along with an option of automatic transmission.

The company has already started working on the next-generation Brio and Amaze, which are codenamed 2UA and 2UB respectively.
