Hero Motocorp launches Passion XPro 110, Ignitor 125 & Maestro 110 scooter

Hero Motocorp has pulled the wraps of three products today at the Auto Expo which include two new bikes and an 110cc scooter christened Maestro. The two new bikes unveiled are 110cc Passion XPro and 125cc Ignitor. These new products are being branded under the “Hero” brand, although the products are basically based on current Honda (HMSI) products. The launch of Maestro is expected this month while the two new bikes will hit the Indian roads within a few months.

Pawan Munjal, Managing Director and chief executive officer of Hero MotoCorp quoted,, “The new models reflect Hero MotoCorp’s intent and vision for the future and are part of a clear strategy to further consolidate our leadership position. We have a positive outlook towards the new year as we work towards our plan in the domestic and overseas markets.”

Anil Dua,Hero MotoCorp senior vice president (Marketing and Sales) said Maestro will be targeted at male customers in the age group of 18 to 24 while the Ignitor and XPro will be looking for executives and college going students.

 

Hero Passion XPro 110cc motorcycle –

Hero Motocorp powers the new Passion XPro with the same 110cc engine of Honda CB Twister. The bike holds a service due indicator, new fuel tank shrouds and new graphics. It also features maintenance free battery, tubeless tyres, optional front disc brake and wider seats. The Passion X Pro will be available in 6 colour options compared to the existing 5 colour options. The official price has not been revealed as yet, we expect it to be priced at Rs. 52,000 on-road Delhi.

 

Hero Ignitor 125cc motorcycle –

The 125cc Hero Ignitor is mainly based on Honda’s Stunner featuring its same engine and gets a digital-analog combo meter console, maintained free VRLA battery for better reliability, tubeless tyres and an optional front disc brake. To make it sportier, there is a split seat for rider and pillion passenger. The engine cowls and faring resemble the Hero Honda Karizma and the overall appearance is very dynamic. The rear-view mirrors are also dual-tone with body-colour and black colour in sharp pointed hexagon design. It features sporty 5 spoke alloys to merge well with the overall sporty tone of the bike. The Hero Ignitor is expected to be priced around Rs. 60,000 on-road Delhi.

 

Hero Maestro 110cc scooter –

The Maestro is powered by the popular Honda Activa’s 109 CC engine with 8.1 BHP of peak power and Variometric (CVT) automatic transmission gearless system. It also features the combi-brake technology which we find in the Activa Deluxe which combines the front and rear brake application in one brake lever. It also has the same magnetic shutter covering the keyhole for added security which is also found on many gearless scooters these days. There is a digital and analogue instrument cluster with service sue indicator which probably first on a gearless scooter in India. The Maestro comes with a toughed up tube just like Activa which makes it puncture resistant and the battery is also maintenance free. The Hero Maestro comes in 6 colours Option. Hero Maestro is expected to be priced at Rs.50,000 on-road Delhi.

BMW India has launched the 3-Series convertible 330D. The BMW 330D is for those who love the fast wind above their head, while enjoying the performance of the car. This is not the only convertible model from BMW’s stable as the company also offers BMW Z4 and BMW 650i. The BMW 330d Convertible is priced at Rs 57,00,000 ex-showroom Delhi, which is almost 3.5 lakhs less than the sportier BMW Z4. The 650i is the most expensive convertible and features a soft top whereas the Z4 is a less expensive option with a retractable hard top. The 330D also comes with a retractable hard top and equips a 3.0 Liter, 6 cylinder diesel engine with single turbocharger and together they are capable of developing 245 BHP of max power and a whopping 520 Nm of peak torque. Coupled with the engine is a 7 speed double clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The car’s performance figures are impressive as well. The car sprints from 0 – 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and has a top speed of 245 km/hr. The car is a three piece system where the roof folds completely in a quick 22 seconds and fits into the boot thereby reducing the overall capacity from 350 liters to 140 liters. Some of the features offered with 330D convertible are Dynamic Stability Control, Dynamic Traction Control and other active and passive safety features.
