Garmin Navigation Devices ties-up with Maruti Genuine Accessories

India’s largest passenger car maker, Maruti Suzuki India has tied up with the global leader in satellite navigation, Garmin for providing personal navigation devices (PND) for their vehicles. The tie-up allows Garmin to increase its footprints across India and would also help MSIL customers with a world-class product and whole new experience of Navigation.

Garmin India launched nüvi 40LM and 50LM devices for the mass market, priced at Rs. 8450 and Rs. 9990 for nüvi 40LM and 50LM respectively. With the launch of nüvi 40LM and 50LM Garmin is making sure that people with limited use of GPS features should also enjoy the advantages of technology.

The company’s accessories division, Maruti Genuine Accessories (MGA) is the division that has been linked to Garmin navigation devices. This agreement will ensure that Garmin’s nüvi 40LM and nüvi 50LM would be available across Maruti Suzuki’s dealerships in India. The Garmin PND buyers who get it for their Maruti cars will have their devices covered under the MGA warranty.

These devices like other Garmin devices will have voice guidance in Hindi, Indian English, Punjabi, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Tami, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali and Oriya. Furthermore, features like text to speech, voice guidance supporting 10 languages, highway mode, free lifetime map support, house search, enhanced junction view, highway sensitivity receiver and free maps of Malaysia and Singapore.
