Johammer electric motorcycle, manufactured by Austria based Hammerschmid Maschinenbau, comes across as quite a weird looking motorcycle. This EV offers amazing driving range and features excellent and latest technologies onboard. This avant-garde looking electric motorcycle will be made available in two variants J1.200 and J1.150. The bikes are expected to be priced around €25,000, i.e. nearly $34,550 or Rs. 21 lakhs. Though the price appears to be a little high, but it is to be noted that Johammer comes with a guarantee for a minimum of 124,000 miles or 4 years! As far as the reports go, the bikes will not be launched in the Indian market.
Johammer J1 electric motorcycle
The previous name of Johammer was Biiista. It has now been rebranded. The Johammer J1.150 electric motorcycle has been equipped with an 8.3 kWh battery that provides a driving range of 150 kilometers on single charge. This EV weighs 158 kg. On the other hand, Johammer J1.200 electric motorcycle has been equipped with a 12.7 kWh battery that provides a driving range of 200 kilometers on single charge. This EV weighs 177 kg.
Johammer J1.20 and J1.150 can speed from 48 to 80 kilometers per hour and from 48 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4 seconds and 8 seconds, respectively. The manufacturer has not revealed the time taken by the bikes to reach from 0 to 60 kilometers per hour. The foot controls are located on grips on the mirror stalks and a rider will simply need to control them in order to control the bike. All details are displayed on mirrors and, hence, there is no instrument cluster. The Johammer bikes have not been designed to deliver performance. They have been deigned to serve practicality. The driving range of the two bikes will make them very good options for intercity riding as well as cruising.
