The Multix is claimed to be India’s first “Personal Utility Vehicle”, it can be used by private buyers as well as for commercial purposes, says the company. The most significant feature is the X-Port generator which is mounted at the rear of the vehicle. The generator is capable of producing 3 KW of electricity which can be used for lighting homes and powering equipment like water pumps and drilling machines. With electricity supply in India witnessing regular power-cuts, the JV company says that this feature will ensure uninterrupted business operations.

The vehicle measures 3,235 mm in length, 1,585 mm in width, 1,856 mm in height and has a ground clearance of 225 mm. The kerb weight ranges from 650 – 750 kg.

The engine is mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox that returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 28.45 kmpl. Underpinned by a steel tubular spaceframe, Multix employs independent suspension adapted from Polaris ATVs.
