Initially, the Dominar 400 will only be available in 22 cities and 80 dealerships in India. Test rides and display bikes have already reached the selected dealerships across India.

The Dominar 400 is available in a total of 3 paint schemes – Moon White, Twilight Plum and Midnight Blue. No matter which variant you plump for, power comes from a 373.3 cc, single-cylinder, liquid cooled, fuel-injected engine, which gets Bajaj’s patented triple-spark DTS-i technology. This motor is capable of generating 34.5 BHP and 35 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It can sprint from 0-100 KMPH in 8.23 seconds, and attain a top speed of 148 KMPH. It also gets a slipper clutch as standard.

Braking power is handled by a 320 mm disc at the front, and a 230 mm disc at the rear. The braking capabilities have further been boosted through the optional dual-channel ABS. It is shod with 110/70 section tyres at the front and 150/60 at the rear, both wrapped around 17-inch alloy wheels. It weighs 182 kg, and has a fuel tank capacity of 13-litres.

As of now the Dominar 400 has no direct rivals in the Indian market with the closest being the Mahindra Mojo. However, if you factor in the price, the competition widens to the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 ABS, DSK Benelli TNT 25, KTM Duke 200, KTM 390 Duke, Honda CBR250R ABS, Royal Enfield Classic 350, Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 and Royal Enfield Himalayan.
