Bajaj Auto to re-introduce gearless scooter

Bajaj Blade 125

The folks at AutoCarIndia reveal saying that Bajaj are burning the midnight-oil developing an all-new, exciting automatic scooter for India. After a gap of many years, the company plans to re-enter the Indian scooter market in a big way with automatic scooter, probably, 125cc. We at BharathAutos speculate this upcoming automatic scooter might be the Bajaj Blade 125.

Currently, Bajaj is no doubt the best company in Indian bike market but competition in this segment of Indian scooter industry is very tough. The Blade 125 is gearless scooter which the company had first showcased at 2006 Auto Expo with some unique features and amazing technology. And in 2008, its most refined version was showcased with discs in front.

The sources reveal that Bajaj is developing an all new scooter which will, possibly like the ‘Pulsar’ brand, rekindle a lot of interest. The upcoming scooter competes with the likes of Piaggio LX125 Vespa, Honda Activa and Dio, Hero Motorcorp Maestro, TVS Wego, Yamaha Ray, Suzuki Access 125, Mahindra Duro Dz 125 and Rodeo 125 and Suzuki Swish 125.

The exact details of the launch are not yet to be known, we predict it to be in mid-2013.
