Bajaj Auto to launch fully-faired version of new Pulsar 200NS

New Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS (Naked Sport)

Another exciting announcement from the sidelines of the 2012 Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS unveil is that Bajaj Auto is already working on a fully faired variant of the Pulsar 200 NS. We all Indians love fairing a lot. Numerous bike modification centres across India tell us Indians love for fairing. Yamaha launched the FZ150 faired version months after the naked series launch. Bajaj will follow the footsteps of Yamaha. Months after the launch of Pulsar 200NS, we will see a pulsar 200NS with fairing.

The first and the biggest possibility is that the fully faired Pulsar 200 has all the potential to undercut both the Yamaha R15 Version 2.0 and the upcoming 2012 Honda CBR150 in terms of pricing. Initial indications indicate a price close to the erstwhile fuel injected Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi. The fully faired 2012 Pulsar 200 has all the ammo to be head and shoulders ahead of both the Yamaha and the Honda.

Specifications wise, the fully faired 2012 Pulsar 200 features a bigger engine and much more power and torque than both the Yamaha R15 and the Honda CBR150R. The 23 Bhp of the Pulsar is much higher than the 17 Bhp and 18 Bhp outputs of both the R15 and CBR150R respectively.

Following the launch of Pulsar 200NS in April, Bajaj will launch the lesser displacement pulsar NS series before the end of this year. We expect the Pulsar NS series to feature 125cc, 150cc, 180cc and 200cc. Pulsar 220cc may not get the NS series makeover, however what’s cooking in Bajaj’s kitchen is the Pulsar 350cc.

But will you go for the Pulsar 220cc when pulsar 200NS stands side-by-side. Let us know your thoughts.
