Bugatti Veyron Successor Chiron spied testing, could hit a top speed of 500 KMPH!!

It is a widely known fact that the Bugatti Veyron is officially the world’s fastest production car. Yes, Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg made a claim stating that the Koenigsegg One: 1 had beaten the top speed achieved by the Bugatti Veyron Supersport, but they did not have any proper evidence to back up their claims and hence the Bugatti Veyron Supersport still is the undisputed king of the speed hill. Now though, there is yet another car which can beat the Veyron’s top speed, but this car is yet to be launched.

Bugatti fans need not fear, as the car I am talking about is an upcoming Bugatti. The engineers at Bugatti have been hard at work, developing the successor to the Veyron and they have named this successor, the Chiron.  The Bugatti Chiron has been spotted testing in Germany, giving us a slight idea about the design features of the Hypercar.

The Bugatti Chiron was seen testing in a convoy of cars, which included two camouflaged Bugatti Chirons, One Bugatti Veyron Supersport and a BMW i8. It would be wrong on our part to tell our readers that the BMW i8 too was part of the Bugatti convoy without any evidence that it really was, but the video suggests so, as all three Bugattis were following the BMW.

There is yet another reason to think that the BMW was part of the convoy, because Bugatti engineers might be testing the Hybrid system of the Chiron against the i8’s hybrid system. Yes you read right, Bugatti had earlier announced that the Bugatti Chiron will feature a Hybrid Drivetrain. The Chiron will be powered by  the same 1200 BHP W16 motor used in the Veyron Supersport, but Bugatti will be adding electric motors to the car, which when combined with the engine, takes the maximum power output to 1500 BHP and the maximum torque output to 1500 NM.

Bugatti has claimed that the Chiron takes just 2 seconds to do the 0-100 kmph stint and will go on to touch 500 KMPH! Now that is one crazy claim, but coming from the manufacturer of the world’s fastest car, it cannot be total nonsense. The video doesn’t give away much about the design of the Bugatti Chiron, except that the rear end is all new. It sports square all-LED tail lamps and a huge rear wing, but the side profile looks exactly like the Bugatti Veyron. The front end of the Chiron was not captured on the video.

I don’t know about you, but I am definitely excited about the Bugatti Chiron.
