In 2014, the BMW auxiliary affirmed that its item range would be cut down to 5 models from 8. The soft top 3-door Mini will be the fifth item in the brand’s line-up, after the Paceman, Coupe and Roadster are eliminated. Put something aside for the collapsing rooftop, there will be few contrasts between the consistent hard top 3-door and the convertible. Back seat space will presumably be traded off in the soft top variant to accommodate the rooftop.

As of late, the sketches of a 2-door roadster have also emerged. The representation was of an car generally taking into account the Superleggera Vision Concept that was showcased at the 2014 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Reports recommend that the portrayal had been recorded by Mini at the European patent office. Nonetheless,  the company has denied any association with the picture, and the generation of the said model is theory until further notice.
