2 new colours for the Yamaha R15 Version 2.0 – GP Blue, Streaking Cyan

Yamaha India has released two new colour options for its best-selling Yamaha R15 version 2.0 called “GP Blue” and “Streaking Cyan”. The new colours are said to be readily available at dealerships across the country and no body colour has been removed from the palette owing to the launch of new ones.

However, compared to the existing colour options there is a slight hike in prices for GP Blue as well as Streaking Cyan. In GP Blue or Streaking Cyan, the R15 costs Rs. 1,17,260, while in Racing Blue or Grid Gold, the bike costs Rs. 1,12,924 and Raring Red or Invincible Black costs Rs. 1,10,003 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).

Under the skin, the R15 is unchanged. It is powered by the same liquid cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve, SOHC unit displacing 149.8cc and generating max power of 17PS at 8500rpm and top torque of 15Nm kicking in at 7500rpm, mated to a 6-speed transmission. The engine complies with BS IV emission norms and features fuel injection and electric start.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Roy Kurian, Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. said –

Since the launch of R15 version 2.0 in 2011, the bike has gained immense popularity amongst the customers, especially youngsters.
