Since last-year, there had been a speculation regarding Maruti Suzuki refreshing the Alto K10 and these spy pictures prove the truth of the rumours. Looking at the spy pictures, it is evident that the dimensions of the car are smaller than the current model. The spy pictures suggest that the facelifted Alto K10 will borrow design cues from the larger Celerio as well as the Alto 800.

According to reports received from spies it is revealed that company will make major cosmetic changes too the interiors also, and will continue the same engine configuration of 1.0-litre petrol engine churning the power of 67 bhp and torque of 90 Nm, as offered in the existing version. The K10 facelift is believed to be equipped with an automated manual transmission (AMT).

According to the auto analyst, the recent launch of Datsun Go hatchback by Datsun, has started affecting the market share of Alto K10 in Indian car market. Since its launch in 2010 Alto K10 has strongly ruled the hatchback segment of cars. The facelift Alto K10 is anticipated to be launched in Indian car market sometimes during the festive season of this year.

The Alto K10 Facelift is expected to come with some mechanical changes that could include a re-tuned suspension and a more linear torque curve for the engine.
