Tata Motors earlier this-month showcased its three new brilliant vehicles at the 2014 Auto Expo event held in Noida. These three vehicles were a compact sedan named Zest, a premium hatchback named Bolt and a concept car name Nexon. The concept car is designed to offer the customers an insight about the future products of the company.
Zest and Bolt share same underpinnings. The two cars have been developed on modified X1 platform. The Zest compact sedan and Bolt premium hatchback will feature an enhance suspension, transmission and improved engine. The two cars will be powered by a new 1.2 L Revotron engine. This engine is powerful enough to produce a power output of 85 PS and maximum torque of 140 Nm.
Zest will come with a new F-Tronic automated manual transmission coupled with 1.3 L Quadrajet diesel motor that can produce 90 PS power. Zest will be the first automatic diesel car in the country being unveiled close to the first automatic petrol car Maruti Celerio. The interiors of this compact sedan have been completely redesigned. It will now get a 5″ inch touch screen Harmann infotainment system with satellite navigation. This system also offers Bluetooth connectivity, phone enabled navigation, voice recognition and text to speech features. Tata Bolt and Zest are likely to be launched by mid-2014.
The Tata Nexon concept is a sub-4-metre SUV. It comes with bold styling and futuristic design. The Nexon concept will receive day-light operating doors developed with lens less LED lamps and megapixels concept. The car will be equipped with a 3-cylinder, 1.2 L petrol engine that can produce a power output of 110 PS and torque of 170 Nm. The Nexon concept will offer fuel efficiency of 17.6 kmpl and the top speed of 180 kmph. It comes with an electronic 4-wheel drive system as well.
