The new 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG has been unveiled at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona where it made its debut alongside the 2012 Silver Arrow, the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS F1 W03.  Based on the redesigned 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class, the new SL63 AMG pricing and other details are expected to be available during the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

Power for the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG comes from a twin-turbo 5.5 liter direct-injected V8 engine making 529 bhp and 800 Nm of torque. The output is directed to the rear wheels through an AMG Speed shift MCT 7-speed sports transmission, allowing the 2013 SL63 AMG to go from 0 to 100 kph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 250 Kph.

Buyers can upgrade to the AMG Performance Package which bumps up output to 557 bhp and an awe inspiring 900 Nm of twist. It drops the 0 to 100 kph down by 0.1 second and top speed jumps to 300 Kph.

Mercedes-Benz’s AMG department says that a total of 125 kilograms were dropped from the car, which helped the twin-turbo V8 return 30 percent better fuel-economy. AMG Active Suspension, AMG speed-sensitive sports steering, AMG high-performance braking system, AMG exhaust and AMG alloy wheels. Interior features will include two-tone nappa leather, carbon fiber trim, illuminated sills and ambient lighting. Options include Active Parking Assist, Airscarf heating, Bang & Olufsen BeoSound system, Driving Assist package and much more.
