Tata launched the World’s cheapest car Tata Nano on sale since March 2009 and now a facelift is needed. In India, it becomes a huge success for its inexpensive, affordable price which can be easily afforded by a common man and lower income groups masses. World’s Cheapest Small Car will become safer by 2012!
Tata Motors have now realized people don’t mind paying little extra for safety is neither a big deal nor it can be neglected. The company’s close associate and one of the world’s leading auto equipment manufacturers, Bosch has set about testing various features on the 2012 Tata Nano. Some of them are small but a key to make driving the Nano not only easier but safer too.
2012 Tata Nano model is under trial/test by Bosch with new add-on safety features like front disc brakes, ABS, power steering, left side mirror to name a few. Although the Nano is a really small car, the steering does feel a bit heavy for most. The Nano is set to get power steering on its top model along with ABS. Front discs could reduce braking distances. Bosch is a leading supplier of Oxygen sensor, Gasoline injection system (diesel will follow), starter, alternator, brake system for Tata’s Nano car.
Moreover, Tata is working on Nano’s diesel variant that will bring a revolution in India’s Automobile Industry, again! So, a prospect buyer of Tata’s Nano car in 2012 will have the option of new Tata Nano (Top end model) with latest safety measures pre-installed or can still opt for the basic regular model. Prices of the new 2012 Tata Nano to yet revealed.
These new features will be imperative for the Nano as the company sets about exporting them to other Asian countries, Africa and Latin America. Once the diesel variant comes along, the Nano would be ready to face the onslaught from Korea and Japan.
