Today at 2012 Geneva Motor Nissan Unveils its Hi-Cross Concept, according to sources this is proposal from the Japanese automaker to expand its current line-up of Juke-Qashqai-Murano crossover lineup. According to Executive Vice President , Nissan Motors Mr. Andy Palmer stated that “Nissan created the crossover segment with Murano and has expanded the genre with top selling cars like Qashqai and Juke”, he also said that the “Hi-Cross Concept shows we are not sitting still, resting on our laurels, but exploring ways of cementing our crossover leadership by exploring new ideas.”

Nissan Hi-Cross Concept features three row seating arrangement and offers seating for 7 passengers. Nissan Hi-Cross Concept is powered by a hybrid powertrain, mated to an electric-motor that is powered by a compact lithium-ion battery. The system includes a 2.0 liter direct-injection engine that provides power of a 2.5 liter with fuel-economy of a much smaller engine. The whole powertrain is coupled with a CVT transmission and all-wheel-drive. According to François Bancon, Deputy Division General Manager of Product Strategy and Product Planning Division , said: “Although this is purely a concept car, exploring potential ideas for the future, there is no ambiguity about its purpose. It is a high-riding crossover, hence its name: Hi-Cross Concept.”

Since the launch of the updated Audi A4 saloon in earlier last-month, there were speculations the company might launch ‘sportier’ variant of the regular A4, the S4 shortly. Today the German luxury car, Audi has silently launched the Audi S4 sedan in India. The S4 is priced at Rs 45.31 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra) and is available at all the 19 Audi dealerships in the country. “After the introduction of the new Audi A4 we saw a lot of Audi ‘fans’ requesting for the Audi S4, and we responded to this demand. The new Audi S4 joins the successful league of our sedans and we are confident that it will also script a success story similar to its predecessors”, said Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India. On the outside, the Audi S4 sedan embodies the cultivated sportiness of typical Audi. The hexagonal single-frame grille, the wedge-shaped xenon headlights clasped in LED daytime running lights, the LED rear lights and the new bumpers are the most obvious cues to the updated model. The radiator grille insert is Platinum Gray and features finely sculpted, horizontal chrome crossbars and an S4 badge. The housings of the exterior mirrors shine with an aluminum-look finish, the side sills are painted in the body color and V6 T badges sit on the flanks. On the inside, it gets a leather multi-function sports steering wheel with the S4 badge been redesigned and flat-bottomed rim available as a sporty option. The inlays have surfaces of Matt Brushed Aluminum and sportily cool black dominates the interior. The lighting package, the xenon plus headlights with LED rear lights and the driver information system with color display round out the specific standard equipment of the S models. It comes with low riding sports suspensions and high performance braking system with 18 inch wheels to provide high comfort and good road grip. Under the hood, the Audi S4 is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 TFSI engine which makes 333PS of power and 440 Nm of torque with a fuel consumption of 10.34 kmpl as per ARAI. It is mated to a 7-speed S-tronic transmission.  Audi claims that the S4 will hit zero to 100 km/hr in 5.0 seconds and has a maximum speed of 250 kmph. The S4 has Quattro as standard with self-locking centre differential and torque vectoring.   What we Say?
