Honda reveals their 1.6L diesel engine

The Japanese auto giant, Honda Motors is losing its market in diesel variant section. Now automobile giant Honda officially presented their new 1.6L diesel engine at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show. Honda plans on taking over the global auto industry as far as engine technology is concerned.

The new Honda diesel engine will be launched under the Earth Dreams Technology banner emitting just 95 gms of CO2 per km. Honda also stated that they will be launching all new Civic sedan by this yearend featuring the new diesel engine.

“With our Earth Dream Technology, we aim to be number one in terms of engine emissions within three years,” Mr. Manuba Nishiru, President, Honda Europe, said. Honda 1.6L diesel engine generates maximum power of 118 bhp @ 4,000 rpm and peak torque of 300 Nm at 2,000 rpm.
