Yamaha India recently launched refreshed Fazer and FZ range. The Fazer looks awesome … apart from that there is not much to talk about. There is a new “kick lever” on these new Fazers also as standard option. The prices are also hiked.

Chennai based motorcycle manufacturer, TVS Motors has launched their all new 125cc bike named Phoenix for the Indian market. Priced at Rs 51,000 for the drum brake version and Rs 53,000 for the disc brake trim (both prices, ex-showroom Chennai). The Phoenix 125 is available in five dual tone colours: Moroccan Red, Alaskan Green, Helsinki Black Silver, Belgian Black Red and Oxford Grey. As far as features are concerned, the Phoenix 125 features a fully digital speedometer with an amber backlight, a digital fuel gauge, low battery reminder, trip meter, service reminder, soft texture grips and soft-touch switchgear. The company has also equipped it with hazard lamps to enhance rider safety. A rotopetal disc brake, engine kill switch, LED pilot lamps, an all-black engine, alloy wheels and a stitched dual texture cushion seat are also present. The Phoenix boasts of a 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled EcoThrust engine which makes 11PS of power and 10Nm of torque, while company officials claim a fuel economy of over 67 kmpl under standard riding conditions. The engine is mated to a 4 speed manual gearbox. A brand new feature has been introduced in the Phoenix dual-spring shock absorbers at the rear of the motorcycle.   Speaking at the launch, Venu Srinivasan, chairman, TVS Motor company, said – “We have developed an all new engine for this motorcycle. It complements several unique features to ensure ‘premium ride quality’. With this launch, we hope to increase our market share in the segment.
