2011 Kawasaki Ninja 250R

For 2011, Kawasaki revamped many of their motorcycles, including the all-new ZX-10R Ninja. But as for the ZX-10R’s youngest brother, nothing had to change considering the 250R is already a solid product.

The 2011 Kawasaki Ninja 250R is the ultimate entry-level motorcycle for sportbike fans, but also a blast for veteran riders. The 250 Ninja motorcycle has all the features that allow beginners to learn with ease, and pure fun for the experienced crowd: a low seat, a wide powerband, powerful brakes and agility. But i

And with these attractive features arrives a style based on its older brothers, the ZX-6R and the ZX-10R. Then there’s the price: who could complain with a MSRP of $3,999 to $4,299 for a new motorcycle? And one more thing: ridiculously good fuel economy at over 60 mpg.

All the power comes from a 249cc, liquid-cooled parallel twin that thrives on high-rpm. The Kawasaki motor is tuned for smooth and predictable power. The 250R also features a six-speed transmission and petal disc brakes, and has a curb weight of around 375 pounds.

The 250 motorcycle features a natural riding position for comfortable ergonomics, allowing for much pleasure on the streets. This pleasure also comes from the handling of the Kawasaki, which is transmitted to the road through 17-inch wheels. Stopping the machine are 290mm front rotors and a single 220mm rotor out back gripped by two-piston hydraulic calibers.

Wrapping the Kawasaki 250 R are the fairing and windscreen that not only look great, but deliver wind protection for a wide range of riding situations. An easy-to-read instrument panel with fuel gauge and neutral indicator is another convenient feature on the motorcycle for the new rider.

Thank you for 2011 Kawasaki article. Respect and affection, Marc suzkerberg

French carmaker Peugeot is set to re-enter the Indian car market soon, with its new stylish 508 saloon at the Auto Expo which has already made its international debut two years ago. The company claims that the 508 saloon will be the flagship model with its quirky styling. It should be as spacious as the Honda Accord and given its classy styling, space and diesel powerplant option, it should be a great model for Peugeot to start with. The spacious Peugeot 508 will be powered by a 1.6-litre diesel engine. Along with the other, the Peugeot 3008 crossover is also shown at the Peugeot stall which is a blending of SUV and MPV. The 3008 provides a Multiflex interior in which the seats can be fold in all the way enabling a flat loading space. Peugeot’s 3008 HYbrid4 is powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine which delivers 200bhp and the diesel engine of the car generates 163bhp, the world’s first diesel hybrid that goes on sale in Europe next year. Sharing floor space with the two cars was the RCZ sports coupe. The 2+2 coupe’s highlight is definitely the heavily sloping, curvy ‘double-bubble roof which gives it a sporty air. It’s powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine in different states of tune making up to 200bhp. A diesel is also available which produces 163bhp. The show-stealer though was the Le Mans-winning 908 race car. The 2009 race winner is powered by a twin-turbo 3.7-litre diesel engine. While it may not sound much, the engine is capable of producing 550bhp. Peugeot are also setting up a strong dealer network and they are looking to set up dealerships in around 15 cities. This will help them cater to a wider customer base across the country. The company has made a substantial investment of Rs 4000-crore for its upcoming plant in Gujarat.   Also see - 2012 Peugeot 208 unveiled, we wish would come to India
