180 days waiting period on the Ford EcoSport
It’s no surprise that Ford EcoSport has become the choice of many buyers across India. The key factor being the attractive features packaged in an affordable price range. Ever since the launch Ford dealer are busy attending customers and taking bookings. 30,000 EcoSport has already been booked in just a matter of 17 days, and now customers are awaiting deliveries. Ford India is trying to meet the overwhelming demand, but despite all efforts there is a waiting period of minimum 30 days to maximum of 180 days on various EcoSport variants.
The diesel engine variants enjoy more demand and hence the waiting period on the diesel variants span in the range of 1 to 9 months, the least being the Ambiente and the Trend with a waiting period of 30 – 90 days. The petrol engine variants have also been in demand and irrespective of the variant there is a waiting period of 3 – 5 months.
Ford had recently recalled the EcoSport TDCi for re-positioning of the glow plug and the buyers were notified of the same. Dealers are also notifying the buyers of the same, some by displaying the newspaper clipping. This so far has no impact on the demand of TDCi among the buyers.
